What a wild few years it's been. I moved to Canberra, have a great (and quite demanding) job, two wonderful horses (one I'm about to break in), haven't been so lucky with partners but have some very close and special friends, and the EquineX National Horse Expo I started is going great guns (www.equinex.org)... but something is missing.

The familiar feel in my hands, the soothing sound of the shutter, the anticipation of seeing what I caught (even if digital does decrease that time compared to shooting on my old love, Velvia).

And so as much as I dislike "new year's resolutions", this is mine - to get my camera out and about more often. To snap the landscape and rural settings I love so much, to snap more horses, and to push some boundaries and snap people, places, objects to see if I can.

Hopefully to hook up with some other dAers for some shoots... and to fit all this around my work/horses/expo commitments.
